What the brand says

Sold as “Psyllium Husk - Plantago Ovata - Isabgol Bhusi by Jadibuti Store

Isabgol is professionally grown in Mehsana and Banaskantha districts of northern Gujarat, and also in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana. The plant is unstressed, seasonal, and bushy, reaching heights of 10 to 30 cm. Its leaves are 9 to 27 cm long, and its flowers resemble wheat earrings, emerging from small, tall, round, elliptical structures. Boat-shaped seeds are found in the flowers, with approximately 26-27% of the husk sprouting from them. When the husk comes into contact with water, it produces a smooth, tasteless, and odorless gel. Both Isabgol seeds and their husks are used medicinally.
