BlackBerry (Rubus Armeniacus), the Himalayan blackberry or Armenian blackberry, is a species of Rubus in the blackberry group. It is native to Armenia and Northern Iran. Rubus Armeniacus is a deciduous shrub with strong spikes, reaching 1-2 m in length. The flowers are up to 2 cm in diameter. The calyx consists of five bent sepals, pubescent on both sides. Corolla is very pale pinkish in color. The fruit in botanical terminology is not a berry, but an aggregate fruit of numerous drupelets, 1.2–2 cm diameter, ripening black or dark purple.
