Collagen Peptide, also called hydrolyzed collagen, is produced from hydrolysis (combinations of heat, acid, alkali) of collagen found in the bones, skin, and connective tissue of cattle. The resultant collagen peptide is made of 20 to 45 amino acids peptides. Collagen, a component of connective tissue, is shown to help skin rejuvenation. Boswellin is extract from the gum resin of Boswellia serrata and contains four major boswellic acids, namely, boswellic acid, acetyl-boswellic acid, 11-keto-boswellic acid and acetyl-11-keto-boswellic acid or AKBBA. Boswellic acids have been found to inhibit 5-LOX as well as human leukocyte elastase (HLE). Tetrahydrocurcumin is the first bioavailable metabolite of curcumin with antioxidant activity preventing formation of free radicals and neutralizing already-formed free radicals. LactoSpore (Bacillus coagulans) is a shelf-stable probiotic which when ingested, can withstand the acidic environment of the stomach. These spores then germinate and proliferate within the GI tract. After germination, B. coagulans is metabolically active as part of facultative anaerobes in the intestine, producing lactic acid, as primary product of fermentation. The main mechanism of survival is competitive exclusion.
