DESCRIPTION The amounts and ratios of nutrients used in this multivitamin are based on a long history of clinical use and updated using the newest research findings. This iron-free formula is most suitable for the majority of individuals. Supplemental iron is unnecessary for most adult men and women and may be potentially harmful, as excessive amounts have been associated with heart disease, arthritis, and cellular damage. Copper is included because of its importance for SOD antioxidant enzyme activity and to maintain a healthy balance with zinc. NuPathways MV is especially recommended for men, postmenopausal women, and women with light or normal menstrual flow who may not need supplemental iron. FUNCTIONS NuPathways Multivitamin provides all of the vitamins found in most multivitamin products and includes added amounts of vitamins C, E, D, and B complex. Vitamins E and beta-carotene (vitamin A) are supplied in natural forms. This product supply active folate as active Metafolin methylfolate (L-5-MTHF). This form is absorbed and utilized directly by the body, unlike synthetic folic acid. Vitamin D3 is included at 25 mcg (1,000 IU) per serving, 125% of the Recommended Daily Value, to help achieve the optimal intakes now recognized to support bone and tissue health.
