Acerola is an evergreen tropical plant, which is a large, dense shrub (or low tree), stretches from 4 to 6 meters in height and grows about the same in width. The fruit is round or oval, divided into three segments, with a bone inside. The skin of the fruit is bright red. The pulp is juicy and acidic, has an orange color. Acerola berry looks like a cherry, but the properties are more similar to citrus.
