Our plasmalogens are derived from the Ascidian (sea squirt) species Halocynthia roretzi, and are sourced directly from Tokyo, Japan, where purity and plasmalogen content are verified by pharmaceutical-level quality analysis. The phospholipids form of DHA present in our Ascidians can cross the blood-brain barrier at a rate approximately 10 times faster than that of the free fatty acid form of DHA.
